About

My name is Raffi Minas

I’m a Syrian-Canadian writer, playwright, and mentor who believes in the power of stories to heal, connect, and transform. For nearly two decades, I’ve used theatre and storytelling to help children and youth affected by trauma across Syria, Lebanon, and Canada find and share their own stories.

I acknowledge that I live, work, and tell stories on the traditional territories of the Treaty 7 Nations: The Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Piikani, Kainai), the Îethka Nakoda Nations (Chiniki, Bearspaw, Goodstoney), and the Tsuut’ina Nation. This land is also home to the Métis Nation, Region 3. I honor the enduring connection of Indigenous peoples to this land, which they share with newcomers, and I am grateful to call it my new home with respect.
